After serving as dean of Grinnell College, a nationally recognized liberal arts institution in Grinnell, Iowa, for one year, Dr. Anne F. Harris was appointed the college’s 14th president on July 14, 2020. She believes in the value of a liberal arts education, noting that it prepares individuals for civic engagement and a lifetime of contributing to the common good. Harris led Grinnell in enacting a “no loan” financial aid policy. Her leadership has included a commitment to diversity and inclusion, academic programming and community development, and financial stewardship and fundraising.
