In August 2023, Dr. Robin Zape-tah-hol-ah Starr Minthorn joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma (UO), where she is a full professor in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Department of the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education and coordinator of Tribal and Indigenous Education Initiatives. An enrolled citizen of the Kiowa tribe of Oklahoma, Minthorn’s research interests include Indigenous perspectives and concepts of leadership; experiences of contemporary Native American women leaders; Indigenous leadership in higher education; and Native American student experiences in higher education. She is the first Native American to serve as a board member of the Association for the Study of Higher Education.
