Sadeep Shrestha, Ph.D.

Sadeep Shrestha, PhD, MHS, MS is a globally recognized infectious disease and genetic epidemiologist with research focus on understanding and improving prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infection and immune related diseases, specifically of HPV‑associated cancers, HIV comorbidities, and Kawasaki disease. A Professor of Epidemiology and Infectious Disease, he leads major institutional programs, including the Molecular Epidemiology Core Laboratory and the Program in Epidemiology of Inflammation, Infection and Immunity. His research integrates immunogenomics, molecular epidemiology, and precision public health to improve outcomes across pediatric, diverse and underserved populations. He also directs the Nepal Health Research Initiative and has mentored more than 150 trainees across doctoral, postdoctoral, and global health programs.
